Student Exchange Program

International students from partner universities willing to study at Udmurt State University for an academic term or year and then transfer their credits at the home universities can apply for the exchange student status. We recommend to take the following steps to apply for exchange studies at UdSU:


UdSU welcomes students from partner universities that have bilateral agreements with UdSU for student exchanges between the universities. Bilateral student exchanges are implemented with the following partner universities:

  • University of Granada, Spain
  • Keimyung University, South Korea
  • University of Helsinki, Finland
  • Abo Academy University, Finland
  • University of Turku, Finland
  • Masaryk University, Czech Republic
  • University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland
  • University of Zadar, Croatia
  • University of Bremen, Germany
  • Leuphana Univeristy of Lunneburg, Germany
  • University of Siena, Italy

Exchange students can be admitted to any Institute Institute of UdSU.

To complete Preliminary Learning Agreement, please study the Courses Catalogue. More detailed information concerning Application Documents will be given on the following pages.

NB! As the majority of courses are in Russian, applicants to UdSU are required to have at least B1-B2 level of the Russian language competence.

All bilateral exchange students are offered free Russian language courses. Academic load of the course, assigned credits and achieved results are included in the Transcript of Records.

Please study carefully and learn about our Grading system.

Those interested in discovering real and diverse Russia are welcome to apply for a non-degree programme RUSSIAN AND REGIONAL STUDIES. The language of instruction is English. It is designed for those who are not confident in their Russian but would like to know more about Russia and one of its regions.The duration of the programme is 1 semester (only autumn semester each academic year). Bilateral exchange students can integrate the courses of the programme into their study programme at the host institute.
