Russian as a Foreign Language Programmes

UdSU Russian language programmes are aimed at those who

  • wish to apply for degree studies in Russian universities;
  • are enrolled in UdSU degree programmes and need to further develop their Russian language competence;
  • are interested in the Russian language and culture.

Document Pursued: Transcripts of Records with detailed information on the level and academic load of the course, total credits and final grades are issued upon completion of the RFL courses.

***Language classes are free for some exchange students in accordance with bilateral agreements.


Application procedure

Application deadline for language classes: June 30, 2018

Application deadline for Summer Schools: May 30, 2018

Application steps:

  1. Fill in the application form.
  2. Print and sign the filled out application form, and then forward it to us scanned along with a scanned copy of your passport (all pages).
  3. Receive a contract for educational service.
  4. Sign the contract if you agree with all conditions.
  5. Make the prepayment (in the amount of 40%) according to the contract.
  6. Apply for the invitation. The preparation of the invitation takes 20 working days.
  7. Receive the invitation (we will process an e-Invitation, you will receive a code via e-mail and will be able to apply with this code to the Embassy).
  8. Apply for a visa to Embassy of Russian Federation in your country. Please, fill in the column ‘Which embassy or consulate of the Russian Federation abroad processes your visa?’ in the Application Form carefully.
  9. Send us a scanned copy of your visa as soon as you receive it.

Accommodation facilities

UdSU international students enrolled in the RFL programmes can choose to be accomodated in the university dormitories where foreign and Russian students live together or they can rent a flat off-campus. On-campus accommodation fee: 2 500–3 500 RUR per month (approx. 40-50 $)

Extra fees

Medical examination (X-Ray test, dermatologist, therapist) – approx. 500 RUR

Medical insurance – 4000 RUR per 1 year
