Currently, the oil, gas and energy industries are the heart of the Russian economy and at the same time one of its most profitable spheres. Therefore, it is not surprising that graduates of the Institute are in great demand. In 2018, the higher oil education in the Udmurt Republic on the basis of UdSU turned 25 years old. UdSU Institute of Oil and Gas is an educational complex that includes a modern educational and laboratory building and a comfortable dormitory, where excellent conditions are created for efficient educational and scientific activities. The Institute covers the Republic’s need for qualified specialists in the oil, gas and energy industries.
On the territory of the university, there is the only in the Udmurt Republic training ground with an oil well (50 meters in depth), and also a complex for the extraction and transportation of oil. The original teaching and laboratory equipment, stands and simulators used in laboratory work provide an in-depth knowledge of the oil and gas theoretical foundations, oil and gas geology, heat power engineering and electric power engineering. Graduates of the Institute are in demand and work in oil and gas companies of the Udmurt Republic, the Urals, Siberia, the Volga region, and abroad in various engineering positions, including management.
