Udmurt State University has been included in the 2nd league of the National Aggregate Ranking among the best Russian universities.

Scientists from the UdGU Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of Materials together with researchers from the M.N. Mikheev Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Udmurt Federal Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Udmurt State Agrarian University presented an innovative surface treatment technology to reduce friction and wear in sliding bearings.
