Focusing on the needs of the region and the demands of the modern economy, the Institute of Economics and Management trains professionals that are employed in various industries as economists, managers, personnel managers, specialist in commerce, housing and utilities infrastructure, state and municipal management. The main areas of research are represented by following topics: economics of labor, social and labor relations, personnel management, effectiveness of the regional economic complex, the regional aspect of the banking system; innovative technologies in the stock market; issues of financial market development, accounting, reporting and planning at enterprises; issues of foreign economic activity, management of real estate infrastructure, economic safety; assessment and development of region innovation and investment potential; strategic management of enterprise development based on the marketing concept; economic theory; logistics and entrepreneurship.
