UdSU in Priority-2030

Udmurt State University has become the only university in the Udmurt Republic that has passed the selection for the Priority-2030 program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The goal of the Priority 2030 program is to form a wide group of universities that will become leaders in creating new scientific knowledge, technologies and developments for the introduction them into the Russian economy and social sphere.

The universities chosen for the program will develop and disseminate best practices in research, innovation and education throughout the higher education system in Russia. The provided grants will allow graduates of the Russian universities to develop skills and abilities that will enable them to successfully compete on the labour market.

In total, 106 universities from 49 cities of Russia have been selected and they will receive the basic part of the grant in the amount of 100 million roubles. Over 60% of universities included into the program are regional. The Volga Federal District is represented by 21 universities, including our university.

The grant support will help Udmurt State University to perform the strategic development program designed with the support of the Government of the Udmurt Republic. Within the framework of the program 5 strategic projects will be implemented that will contribute to the social and economic development of the region and country. As an example, one of the university's projects involves the establishment of a center for SMART technologies, as well as an increase in the number of study places.
