The conference will be held between October 7th and 12th and is dedicated to the centenary of gunsmith Mikhail T. Kalashnikov and UdSU professor Stepan Iv. Shirobokov.
The aim of the conference is to analyze present condition of the environment for stable development of regions, to set up some projects on improving society-environment interaction, to predict development dynamics of different elements of geosphere in immediate outlook.
One of the most important tasks of the conference is to coordinate efforts of international scientists in the projecting up-to-time theoretical and practical basis of the environmental studies regionally and globally.
The conference will focus on various topics:
- Theoretical and practical aspects of the regional ecological and geographical studies.
- Research of the resource territory potential.
- Ecological state of inhabited and rural areas.
- Regional environmental management and protection.
- Modern methods of special mapping system; usage of the geographic information system in ecological and geographical research.
- Environmental geology of erosive-channel systems.
- Stepan Iv. Shirobokov’s legacy in the area of environmental and geographical education and regional ethnography.
- Mikhail T. Kalashnikov as a brand name of internal and external tourism of Udmurtia.
