#We Are Together project is about delivering basic supplies and medicine to elderly and physically challenged people, paying bills for them, etc.
Two of the key figures in this project are UdSU students: Evgeniy Farina, a third-year student of the Oil and Gas Institute, and Anastasiia Putina, a third-year student of the Institute of Pedagogics, Psychology and Social Technologies.
More and more requests are coming. As of now, 629 out of 648 have been responded to. 'We are working 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. these days', says Evgeniy, who is the deputy coordinator of the project's team. 'We are not just delivering food and medicine but also organising social activities to help people protect themselves against coronavirus. Thus, we've been distributing face masks recently to people going to work in the morning.' 'Together we wil be able to overcome all difficulties', adds Anasatsiia, the head of the UdSU voluneers team.
All in all, there are over 500 people participating in the volunteering movement in the Udmurt Republic. They are not only students, but also concerned businessmen, working people aged 18 to 50 who are delivering goods to people in need using their private cars. They all get a set of protective gear and their temperature is taken before they go on their lofty mission after working hours.
